In this day and age, I just don't get why anyone would admit to being a Republican. Unless of course you're a fan of global warming, Halliburton, believe that the world is 7,000 years old and think Dick Cheney is a cuddly gnome.
All of these are perfectly respectable reasons to run to your local Registrar's office, but my reason for not wanting to be labled a Republican is much more personal.
In all my years volunteering for various causes and organizations I've never met another vol as we are occasionally called who admitted to being a Republican.
